Epic Halloween Mitzvah

Halloween Horror Nights Bar Mitzvah at Universal Studios

A Halloween Mitzvah celebration at this time of year is festive and fun. I remember a truly epic celebration for an extraordinary young man entitled Halloween Horror Nights 13: A Bar Mitzvah. And while celebrations are looking a little different right now (in the time of Covid-19), there are so many ideas to be used to create a smaller scale celebration. Or you can plan for a future event as well!

The Groove at Universal Studios provides the perfect backdrop for a Halloween Mitzvah for a variety of reasons. For example, the front entry signs can be customized for your event. Also, there are lots of spooky rooms that are fun to decorate and explore. And the scary actors are the best kind of interactive entertainment!

Custom Halloween Posters In Lights

When guests walk up to The Groove, all the lit posters can be customized. This is an incredibly effective tool to get your guests in the Halloween spirit. Everything from “Franken-Teen” to “Horowitz Horror Nights” are fun and exciting at Universal City Walk. The pictures below are a few great examples of custom designs.

Create a Zombie Candy Buffet

Our favorite room at The Groove is perfect for a Zombie Candy Buffet. Add details such as custom signs for a great, personal effect. Also add spooky Halloween props and statues to take on new life at a custom candy buffet. Think about theme-related desserts such as eyeball cookies and coffin cakes. Check out the pictures below for inspiration.

Scary Actors Generate Excitement

Hiring scary actors for a Halloween Mitzvah creates excitement and fun for adults and kids alike. Zombies and Dracula were our actors of choice and they interacted with all the guests throughout the night. What great photo-ops!

All the Details…

So many possible additions when planning a Halloween Mitzvah or celebration. Get creative and substitute a giant chair shaped like a hand as something for guests to sign. Make your card box a giant tombstone with hands coming out of it! Add spooky props to buffet stations. Offer guests custom VIP lanyards to wear during the night. Use creepy decor around the room. Make a long, dark head table complete with candle light and skeleton hands coming out of floral centerpieces! Create custom “mocktails” and pillows for kids to enjoy. So many options – have fun with it and Happy Halloween!
